Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about shipment tracking.

Where can I find my tracking number?

Your tracking number is included in the shipping confirmation email and on your Bill of Lading (B/L) or Air Waybill (AWB) document issued by Vertex Global Logistics at the time of booking.

How often is the tracking information updated?

Tracking data is updated at every major milestone — pickup, export customs, port loading, transshipment, arrival, and final delivery. Updates may take up to 4 hours to reflect after an event occurs.

My shipment hasn't updated in several days. What should I do?

Delays in updates can occur during ocean transit between major ports. If your shipment has been idle for more than 5 business days, please contact our customer service team — we'll investigate immediately.

Can I track multiple shipments at once?

For clients with multiple active shipments, we provide a personalized client portal with consolidated shipment visibility. Contact your account manager to set this up.

What does "Customs Hold" mean on my tracking?

A customs hold means the import authority at the destination country requires additional documentation or inspection before releasing the cargo. Our customs team will contact you with the specifics and required action.
